Frequently Asked Questions

Can hardness be stably guaranteed?

Yes — all furnaces are equipped with temperature curve recorders, following standard procedures and issuing batch hardness test reports.

What is the mirror polish standard?

S136 finish can reach Ra0.2 below for mirror, SPI-A1~A3 standard; regular cores Ra0.4-0.8 is sufficient.

Can you process customer-supplied materials?

Yes — for customer-supplied material, we charge per-piece + material weight × unit price (mutually agreed); or we can purchase specified materials.

Does EDM affect material?

EDM leaves a recast layer (white layer); we routinely finish by fine grinding or polishing to remove it and ensure hardness and surface integrity.

Mold Components

Mold components are core parts of injection molds, die-cast molds and stamping dies, directly determining product quality and efficiency. We provide precision machining of standard and non-standard mold components.

Core Process Capabilities

  • Frame and platen precision milling: Injection mold frames and platens are CNC finish-milled for the central cavity and 4 corner bolt holes, with mating-face flatness ≤0.01mm for high installation interchangeability.
  • Guide slide forming: Slide bases’ multi-guide slots and oil holes are formed in one setup, combined with SKD61 vacuum heat treatment HRC 60 — sliding clearance 0.01-0.02mm ensures smooth motion and long life.
  • Ejector turn-formed integral: Threaded ejector rods, flanges and cylindrical sleeves are completed in one setup on a turning center; SKH51 HSS after heat treatment HRC 62, thread 6g accuracy — suitable for automated injection lines.
  • Special cavity EDM + mirror: Octagonal base centers special cavities formed by EDM, complex sharp and round corners down to R0.1; S136 mirror ground to Ra0.2, suitable for transparent and high-gloss parts.
  • Heat treatment and cryogenic process: Standard vacuum quench + double temper stabilizes hardness HRC 48-62; cryogenic treatment (-196°C) further improves wear resistance and dimensional stability for long-life molds.
